No battery light
Bit of a odd one. I bought my first Landy yesterday and on test drive the battery warning light stayed on constantly. The guy I bought it from said it was a common problem and that he would sort it. I have no light at all now when I put the key in the ignition? Anyone have any idea what has happend please. All help appreciated 😊

The battery warning light stayed on because the alternator is most probably paggered .
Your seller has some how disabled the light which is why it now doesn't work at all.
I think you need to ask some very pertinent questions about what he's done and how he intends to rectify his handiwork.
Failure to sort this now and you'll be back asking all sorts of questions centred around electrical issues you'll inevitably start having. Mods:

Get the alternator and battery replaced and what ever was done, get it undone.

UPDATE. As I suspected alternator was shot. Sorted that no light still. So I took the clocks out as I also noticed a notchy revcounter needle. They had squirted silicone down the light hole! So all picked out and now have a functioning rev counter again as well a working light.

Mallyville Cars Ltd Wolverhampton. Sold it me as trade sale with no possible come back!! Trading standards are now on the case. I would`nt let them have the vehicle back if they are prepared to do this in the first place.
Thankfully I only live 0.5 miles from the previous owner who informed they had told him on trade in that what I have bought was going to be broken for spares and not resold on!!!
See where we end up who knows as the response I got from the dealer makes me think he is used to it and that no one ever actually pursues it further. It is weird knowing I only live 6 miles from where my Land Rover was built
