No heating / coolant
Hi all (again)
Heating doesn’t work like it did. I did the coolant bottle as the float was jammed..
The top of the coolant tank is full, and I bled the pipe bit for about a minute. No bubbles.
Presuming that was the correct procedure?

How much coolant did you drain/loose when changing the tank?
There are two other bleed ports which will help exhaust any air, one on the front of the L/H front timing belt cover, and the other is on the EGR crossover pipe towards the back of the engine behind the oil filter.
Bring the car up to temperature and with the heater temp on full, start with the one in front of the timing cover. If there's no air move to the EGR bleed and alternate between them until all air is expelled. Don't forget to bleed the expansion tank again too as air may circulate back to it, and don't scald yourself!
By the way, if you spilled coolant on the pulleys/ v belt it can cause a screeching noise!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Hi all
Confused on which post is which as this has been related to another issue
However I’m still only getting mildly warm air!
I’ve just spent a hour bleeding the coolant. Including opening the drain plug thing. Bleeding with reservoir lid closed. Then open. And have tried pumping the radiator pipes to the left of the fan where I can fit my hand.
Am I going insane or is there something I’m missing please?

I think its pretty clear whats needed from this - perhaps get a Haynes Manual so you have some pictures to reference it back to, or have a quick look on youtube as there possibly are some videos there to show you.. its the same procedure to follow to bleed the RRS TDV6 so there may be videos there for that rather than the Disco Must stop buying shiny toys....

Hi there’s apparently no second bleed valve on the lr3 2005? Just the front one above the fan belt and the reservoir.
And videos I have copied several now to be fair.
Even tried rocking the car to disperse any bubbles and air

Thermostat may be stuck open and you haven’t an air lock at all!
It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

His is an early D3 Gary, so there's just the two! The later models have the EGR crossover bleed.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Thks mate , see mine is the same year , pretty sure it was near the bulkhead, bugged me that much I just went out and had a look but couldn’t find it , definitely wasn’t the fuel bleed valve
Think I saw it when I done the egr blanks as I had removed the battery covers etc for access
Oh well tis life
