no radio reception

been to view a 2014 disco 4 xs today its got a few knocks and rattles but nothing that bothers me as im quite handy with the spanners

it has a potential problem though and this one concerns me more than anything else,i would seem the radio has no fm/dab reception at all every thing else works just no radio so im a bit stumped as it could be something simple/serious

ive checked fuses fiddled with settings searched the forum but have no idear where to start, the seller scanned with snapon gear but couldn't find any audio ecu,s I have iid for my disco 3 didn't try it but I don't think it will connect to a disco 4 so any idears gratefully received thanks

just had a thought Exclamation vehicle is showing a secondery battery fault with warning on the dash so I assume the battery is foofed would this cause the radio reception fault
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Have you checked the sharks fin on the roof for damage?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Ok, venturing into the land of Techineness so may be wrong but.......

........ isn’t the shark’s fin the phone antennae? I thought the radio antennae was in the side window glass.

I may be wrong, it has been known. Just don’t tell SWMBO. Whistle

A bad start/stop battery may be the cause of the radio reception problem. There was a thread about this some time ago if I remember correctly.
