Andy ,
To your knowledge , will it ( your kit) work with a Base model headunit ?
I've a Base model 7 seater ( Called an S+ in Ireland )
I intend to get the monkey who rigged the CK7W to do the work for me as he hardwired the original kit into place.His mess , he can undo it.

Yes it will fit, the wiring harness is the same and it is pre-wired for the CK-7W too so will plug straight into it.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

WTF does LR not leave anyspace behing the Radio unit.
I had ago myself at fitting the harness that I bought from Andy ( Cotefarmboy) . Took the fascia panel off , DSC, Hazard light console , radio out , AC contol panel out . Disconnected all the previously installed wiring on the already installed Nokia CK-7W kit ( all installed under the steering wheel).
Plugged in Andys Intellimute into the Nokia control unit and fished it across over to the rear of the radio and connected it to the LR radio loom.Tested it before reassembling and it worked flawlessly , amazing piece of kit.The sound through the front door speakers was clear & crisp
But then I went back to reassembling and found that the Radio wouldn't push back in fully.I tried everything even seeing if I could get any extra slack on the LR harness/loom that feeds the radio and positioning it in the void beside the rhs air vent ( left of steering wheel).No joy the connection blocks of the harness wouldnt allow me to refit the fascia panel. I tried the left hand vent void , same there the loom connection blocks wouldn't pull back through.
So half an hour past midnight I admitted defeat.Took everything apart again , rewired the CK7 and went to bed extremely off .

Fitted fine on my car. I ran the loom across into the space to the left of the radio below the vent and put the 2 control boxes in the right hand void, wrapped in foam to stop rattles. Patience is all that's required, there is room 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
