Nokia phone kit / battery drain
to my suprise whilst fitting some puddle lights i’ve just found this nokia telephone box tucked away behind the glove box
on the off chance am wondering if this could be a possible battery drain item , as i’m still seeking the elusive battery drain item
trying to track the wires back and assuming it goes into the back of the radio, base model , seeing the radio is constant live if this bloody thing it’s whats causing my main battery to drain if left for over 2 x weeks
want to disconnect the whole thing , looks like a quick dashboard strip down, famous last words
many thks as always

Should just be able to unplug the colourful wires from the 4 pin plug.
And remeasure current.
Do you have a Bluetooth device ?
These are quite simple but effective. I have one in mine.
Red to +12v
Blue to ignition cigar lighter.

hi pete
many thks , didn’t realise it was bluetooth , doubt it will connect with my phone, it’s a blackberry and if i’m honest don’t ever use my phone in the car
i got caught plugging my mobile in whilst sitting in traffic , some 7 x years ago so from that day on i just put it in my glove box out of the way
was just wondering if the unit pulled any power whilst the landy was alarmed
when it stops raining will put a multimeter across it
as a side note wished to say a massive thks as i finished installing my 12s socket , also made up a 4m 12s lead
got to tidy it up and put some cable clips , heat shrink etc , did put a small fuse box in there and wanted to just get it installed so i could plug the trailor lead in for charging
plugged my CTEK in and it came up with an error , then realised i had the smart connector on the battery and think the led indicator may have caused the error, unplugged it from the battery and reset the ctek , currently is on number 3
just appreciate all the help and many thks

glad its working.
I use an iPhone to pair with the Nokia box, so it may work with a BB !
Just do a search for bluetooth devices and see if nokia CK-7W appears. Pair with code 0000 (might need ignition on)
YOu need a microphone for it to work.
You would also normally have a nokia silver button, but I can tell you how to use a standard button.
Seams a shame to remove if its not causing the drain,

many thks
CTEK is now on number 4
found the silver button with a black turntable dial on it by the side of the radio , no microphone as of yet
was about to test the feed wires but batteries gone flat in the multimeter,
will test it out later and see if it is pulling any voltage with the landy off , if not and never know it may indeed work with the ??
thks again
