Not how I imagined my Wednesday afternoon...
Today was a normal day to start..
Until I got in my car to come home from work after getting covered in sewerage for 12 hours at work
My battery light shining proud and a loud whirring noise coming from the bay,
I presume alternator?
Any suggestions welcome
Cheers

Yeah, go out and disconnect your battery. Alternators are often known to fail and cause a dead short subsequently killing your battery too. Mods:

It’s a nightmare, it happened on a defender I had before, I managed to limp home with the defender wouldn’t risk it in the discovery. My mates face was so smug when he pulled up in his td5 to tow me home

To be fair I like the photo I think it has a lot of character
It’s not something I’ll plan on doing again. My mates worked on farms for 15 year so has a lot of towing experience, he said it’s the worst thing he’s ever towed in his life. We couldn’t get over 30. Good job it was all B roads
