Not so much a mod..... but for those of us with dogs....
I was just wondering if anyone had come up with a clever solution, or seen a product that can help dogs with getting into the back of the of the D4?
We have a dog or a 'certain size' - but its still a big old jump!
I have seen the 3 part ramp things on ebay and around - but is that the only solution? I thought there might be something you could attach to the tailgate which flapped down and helped with access..
Read on another thread of people opening a rear door and folding forward the seat so dog could do side step, 2nd row floor then back floor.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Ah that's a clever idea... didn't think of that! Although not sure id want a mud covered dog clambering over the back of the seats!

When you fold the rear seat forward the dog does not get on the rear seats, we do this when fully loaded with the caravan on the back.
Our small dog prefers to jump in with the tail gate still up so she uses the bumper as a ladder, the large gap under the tail gate is what puts her off when it is down. Suspension lowered of course.
Little dog on right.
I have one of these, a two part extending ramp, it's called a Solvit telescopic dog ramp :-

If not, a foldable ramp - there are several makes / designs, just google.
that's the kind of thing i use but folds up , have a lab and bichon , the lab has no problems getting in but sometimes have to lift the bichon in

been trying to work out a way to secure one of those to the boot floor, so i can then slide it out, will fold and leave the middle seat down so they can walk through the boot and onto the middle seats
got seat covers fitted as we all know what it's like after the dogs run through rivers and roll in the mud
thought maybe of securing a bit of wood to the cargo rings then the ramp onto the wood, then something like heavy duty drawer runners
hope that makes sense

Ben’s been giving one of those ramps very hard use for 2 or 3 years now
Cheapest place to buy them seems to be the ubiquitous Amazon at the minute:

Am I the only one thinking it's a bit harsh making your mum travel in the boot?.

Mum does have the dog bed and full dog guard to stop her rolling about. She doesn't like the crate Welsh Collie Chauffeur Service To Barney & Rooney.
