N/S Rear Door Locking Mech Gone Again. Connector Question |
|
Hi,
Yet another rear door actuator has gone to see its maker (lasted 11 months) and will be replaced by my indy
My question is, is there a connector which is easy to reach and unplug so that when this door is unlocked (managed to get it open using the unlock button and pulling the internal open levers) it can stay unlocked while locking the remaining doors?
If so, where is its location?
This will make it easier for the indy to remove the door card as if the door cannot be opened, there is the possibility the card will be broken on removal.
I know that this will mean that this door will be unlocked all the time but the new replacement should be done in the next 7 days (with luck)
Thanks guys

Ah. Door card is not off yet so was wondering if I could unplug this door somewhere under the bonnet or remove a fuse.

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look later to locate it.

Found the connector in the B Pillar but by heck, do you think I can unplug it even though I'm holding the lock tag in!!
I cannot even get the connector assy out from the outside of the pillar with the doors open as access to the rear tag is impossible (without removing the entire door)
If I leave this door open, then lock the remaining doors (with one honk on the horn) this door can be left unlocked but it's a pain to do.

I was assuming you would remove the interior panel (bottom half)

Did that and couldn't pull out the plug from the socket even with that tag dipressed.
I may have another go tomorrow if I get work out of the way early.
Found out this morning (Tuesday) that by having the doors open (interior lights on) the battery was flat this morning at 05:45. .....New battery on order with Tanya
