Numpty newbie question - sorry

As advertised I have a TDV6 SE and have watched the thread about the preheater ........ knowing that my car has one, how do I go about setting it up to do anything? At the moment it just appears to be a pretty chunk of cold metal......... D3 05 SE (old one)

RRS 08 SE (new one)

unless you've got the option on the settings menu and leave the radio on (to keep the clock 'alive') it pretty much does it's own thing - which is probably the best way Wink it basically assists with heating up the coolant when the air temp. is below 8 degrees to provide smoother running and a warm cabin quicker

and is damn useful on cold days at assisting the engine to warm up this providing you with a loverly warm cabin in a very speedy time.

Accept it for what it is and enjoy its presence.
