Nut holding rear differential to rear cross member size?

I'm most of the way through changing my noisy and leaking rear differential on my D3 just need to remove the two bolts that go through the rear cross member.

The nuts are inside a tube and the bolt comes well past the nut requiring a long reach socket.
I have just bought a 24mm which is too big and 19mm is too small.


Anyone know what size they? I think they are 21mm but don't want to buy another wrong sized socket to find out I'm wrong again. Disco 3 SE V6 petrol 2007

I think the part number for the nut is FY114056 Disco 3 SE V6 petrol 2007

Just been and measured mine. 21mm AF, or 13/16" AF would also work. Thumbs Up Richard

but ... if sourcing locally is an issue, if there is a local Ford dealer, might be worth trying a google search for "Ford HN1 nut"?

So it could be worth a trip to the Ford dealer with your old nut or bolt and checking for fit?
