I don't like the obd power idea. Want something discreet. Considering the new blackvue dr750. Want the wireless/app functionality preferably with built in gps.Now with: Tow bar & storage, Xenon's, Remote Timed Climate, Mood Lighting, Cubby Fridge, DRL's & Mud Flaps

I keep looking at the rear view mirror in the D4. Its it possible to mount a blackvue dr650/750 in such a way that is not able to be seen by the driver, not obvious from the front passengers pov and discreet from the outside?
Its difficult to judge without the camera and I'm reluctant to slash the cash if it doesn't meet my needs. Now with: Tow bar & storage, Xenon's, Remote Timed Climate, Mood Lighting, Cubby Fridge, DRL's & Mud Flaps

Definitely wouldn’t want to plug it into the obd port permanently as I’m sure you’d catch it every time you took your foot of the accelerator pedal to brake (if I’m testing using the iid when driving I’m acutely aware if I catch it I’m going to be in trouble) I’ve mounted a cheep dash cam hidden behind the rear view mirror so I can’t see it, the passenger can but as I’m rarely the passenger it doesn’t bother meRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

This is a Thinkware F770 in my D3 from the drivers point of view it’s well tucked up behind the mirror and I don’t think the front seat passenger can really see it. I’m sure if you google you can compare it’s size with the Blackview

I bought the "OEM" dahscam from kammu (your link) three weeks ago but the item still hasn't been sent...
I sent them numerous emails but never got any reply. I opened a paypal case for refund.
I wouldn't recommend them, although the product seemed great.

One of the smallest Dash Cams is the Garmin 55 which can be hidden behin the rear mirror. It has all the feature you want plus a load more.

That's where I have my Eprance 1080 too, although a little lower down so it's more or less hidden behind the mirror.
You don;t want to hide it totally, as if it ever has a problem you won't know about it. You could end up driving around for days with no camera and sods law that's exactly when something would happen 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

This is where I have my DR650. I can only just see it from the drivers seat, passengers can see it but none have ever complained it is blocking their view and yes you can see it from the front but it isn't that obvious as there's a lot of black around the mirror.

I’ve a Blackvue in my D3 but fitted the Audi version of this to my A4.
The quality of image is good but the App and functions are not as good as the Blackvue.

I kept mine as high as possible as there are buttons on the back and the mirror would block easy access if it was lower, manual event recording, format card, WiFi connection etc. The Thinkware talks to you every time on startup and has a faint green light while in use so you know it’s working. Also about once a month it reminds you to “format memory card for data integrity” to keep everything working it repeats this three times every time you startup until you press the format button. This leads to The one dislike I have is I can’t turn down the voice talking to me.
