Off to Hunters/Guava Guildford Tomorrow

I'm nipping the D4 down to Guava/Hunters tomorrow to try and get them to fix the intermittent restricted performance message I'm getting.

Has anyone had any dealings with them recently since they have been taken over by Hunters?

This will be my first dealing with them for a good few years since my 90 Td5.

I'm hoping they know the D4 well, and don't mess me around. I've gone for them over my local dealer at Thames Ditton so hoping I have made the right choice based on reviews on here.

Anything I should know or look out for?

Cheers

My D3 was serviced by them last month. It's still the same good customer service but the prices are starting to creep up. Only 10% forum discount now and I've been told that prices will increase again in the summer when the Guildford team relocate to the Guava site whilst their's is being redeveloped.

Oh, and the sometimes forget to say Hunters when they answer the phone Laughing

Thanks for the update chaps.

Hope tomorrow goes smoothly. I've been happy so far with everything. Called on Saturday midday and booked for tomorrow, so nice not to have to wait for a long time, and the guy on the phone was very helpful explaining the process and warranty situation etc.

Will you guys continue to use them going forward? I have Thames Ditton or Conrico Chertsey which are slightly closer.

Mine needs a service end of May/early June, so will have to arrange mine soon so I can fit it in around work.

I will try and get a price for a D4 six year service.

That's a very good question. If their prices equalise with Hunters then it'll be difficult to justify, to be honest. For me though, there's no obvious alternative in easy striking distance. As it happens, my D3 was maintained by Conrico for its' previous owner, but they're a fair distance from me.
