Oil filter housing including modification

The engine in my My 2012 model with sdv6 mated to 8 speed snapped the crank WD had van collected and part of the rectification using a new Remanufactured engine I have to pay for the oil filter housing including modification. Does any one know what this is and what the modification was for. I know there was an issue with oil pump and tensioner on some tdv6. But never heard about this oil filter housing.
Await any reply’s with interest

There is no modification to the oil filter housing, and in fact, comes as part of a recon engine.

Perhaps they are talking about the turbo drain pipe mod?

Having 2new turbos as well would have thought it would have come with those if associated to them it’s the modification kit that seems at odds.

I had heard of the same thing from dragon engines who were doing the job for warrantydirect.
I checked the housing part numbers and the haven’t been changed or updated. So I wonder if they just put a new housing on to make sure the drain flap is renewed?
