Oil leak?

Hello

Whilst looking under my car I noticed a large black patch (oil??) on the offside. I will add that since buying the car 4.5 years ago, I do get a stench of oil when going up really steep hills for long periods of time, but it's never been a problem.

I should add that the car does not use oil, does not smoke, leaves no oil on the ground and has plenty of power! Possible gasket somewhere perhaps?

Check throttle body joint on top front of engine. Crud from there runs back along top then down the back ... which will be worse going uphill.

i would take off that small bash plate as it miht be sign of leaking steering rack from bottom pinion seal or HP lines around this area
