oil leak suspension arm ?
Hello from France (I have a LR3 but nobody is perfect )
First, my English is poor and my question is complex. Under my LR3 YM2005 HSE SEVEN BVA, I look a small oil leak on rear bush of front suspension arm. This leak don't appear on top of this arm. I think that really the arm's bush (part 5A638).
One drawing is better:

I havn't 'clong' in suspension but it's better change two front arms no ? Have you find this problem on yours cars ?
Thank's

hi,
I dont think you need to change your suspension arm, just because you see oil dripping from the bottom of the arm.
The oil must be coming from somewhere above in the engine bay, and dripping down onto the chassis and finding its way onto the suspension arm..........you need to trace the oil up to its source....
I'm no expert, hopefully you will get more replies with better help....

This bush is oil filled and may have split. Just replace the bush (special tools needed).

Yes probably the oil leaking from the hydraulic bush. Is the suspension making noises? or do you get movement when braking?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

'Oil filled' - maybe in Dubai
More likely the oil is coming from the interface hose from the turbo to intercooler pipework, front differential N/S oupput seal or input seal, remove the heatshield behind the upper front arm and check for leaks there... I can assure you, none of the suspension bushes, front or rear, upper or lower are 'oil filled'

When I changed my front arms, I hadn't ordered new bolts. I had to cut the old bushes off the bolts. The rears are filled with what looked like a thick silicone oil. Only about 20ml per bush, so doubt it would be visible and only there for damping.
Dealer told me that there was oil in them as well.
Anyone else cut one open?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Unusual for TFC to get it wrong.
I would still take TFCs suggestion and check for leaks behind the heat shield before changing the bushes. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

No I have not noise or movement when braking. But I think the situation can only worsen...

Hydrabush suspension bushes are not 'oil filled' it's a silicone gel of high viscosity, if it looks like oil, then it probably is - from elswhere
