oil price when having a service

just studying the bill from the dealer.

the oil bit seems odd.

it reads

Good services P OCAST7 Bulk Shell Helix Ult
qty 60
unit price 1.390
Blank 16
nett total 66.72

Can anyone explain?

how many litres of oil do we need in the disco?

OIL0530 : Magnatec 5/30 -1/10 Qty 55, Unit Price 0.60 total = Â£33.00

not sure what the "unit" of qty is !!, but it would seem i paid half as much as you !!!

When my dealer price matches ..he just breaks down the items ..but makes up quantities and cost to get it to add up to the total figure

arh ha you may have sussed this one out Wiggs.........

I did get Â£100 or so off of the advertised price.

It took him ages on his computer to get it down to the right price.

Well if you paid twice as much for your oil, maybe you have twice as much oil in the TDV6

, not a good situation if it is

Just looked at the last service sheet

6 items ....all listed as inclusive

Then a total at the bottom ...obviously saves time working it out

Some previous ones said 6 , 7 , 9 litres for oil

G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

6 Litres to fill it up, bought semi-synthetic from Halfords plus extra litre from Asda, same as Castrol, total cost 28.00 (plus free screwdriver set from Halfords)

seems like being sold in 0.10 (1/10's) of a litre
