Special systems off !!!
I don't use my D3 very often - perhaps each 10 days - in the winter i always get the 'Special systems off' message for 10 seconds or so after starting. This i believe upsets the DPF regeneration process and i seem to get DPF full problems in winter only. I wonder what i can do to fix this ? i have tried new biggest battery but its the same, should i add a second battery in parallel (like my old 80 series land cruiser) or maybe some battery charger plugged in but i don't always park close to power. It is always kept inside.
I forgot to mention i am in Hungary and its a touch colder here than UK but nothing less than -10 C which i don't think should be an issue ?

What about a solar charger on the dash, this would keep the battery full but you'd have to run the cables direct to the battery through the bulkhead!
