oil spec
Just took my car to the local dealer Taggarts Motherwell for a service a and found that they have used 10-40 oil and not the handbook reccomended 5-30.
What's the point of using a dealer if they don't even use the recomended lubricants?
Can anyone tell me if it will make much difference?Cambridge Blue TDV6 S Manual

I'd take it back to them for correct oil & new filter.
There's a big difference in oil viscosity characteristics. The Bearded Dragon

0-30 oil has better viscosity characteristics than 5-30. Provided the full oil specs meet LR, there won't be a problem. The Bearded Dragon

According to their website Halfords have it in 1 litre and 4 litre containers although the page I saw only had 1 litre packs at £15+. Cambridge Blue TDV6 S Manual
