Any One Know What This Is ?



Located behind bumper , behind the plastic cowling that directs air to the intercooler Thumbs Up

Its not normally hanging down , its held on with a little clip ..also has 2 wires comming from it
 G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

It the connector for the pollution sensor that the Japasese spec D3s get?

So is that part in the end just stopping water ingress ?

Is it not the thermometer for the outside temp ?

In front of the Intercooler....... Surely not as it would be affected by the temp the intercooler was running....?

It's funny, LR obviously decided to relocate the sensor quite late in the design process, as the workshop manual refers to it being up behind the front grill, in front of the radiator at the top. I guess they moved it down to help keep it away from the heat from the radiator when the vehicle isn't moving fast. The cable on the sensor is more than long enough to reach the alternative mounting location too.
 IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!
