Agree fully with the last posts.
I've agreed the change with LR and I have a new 2007 MY D3 ordered and ready for delivery on early October and I am so hoping that this will be fine. I was offered my money back and I didn't take it as D3 is the car for me. I just want one that works!
The dealer should have picked up all of the issues at PDI but the dealer doesn't seem to be that great either.
The XC90 isn't anywhere near as refined in the engine department as the D3 and the D3 suits my needs better. I just think its sad if the general agreement is that if you want reliability move away from Land Rover.

I didn't see this agreement when I put me deposit on I hope your next D3 is what you deserve but I see no point in getting on this wonderous resource to have a bitch, you wont find too many companions. I feel for you with your issues but try to be positive or get out into something that you like otherwise it will eat you up and you will end up setting up a blog like some other person and to let you in on a secret I was defending this site not Landrover. I have no loyalty to anything except me. do me a favour and go back to the start of this post and read from the beginning

Time will tell. I came into the present car with an open mind after the last one and I will treat the next one in exactly the same way.
I do think it's good to have a place for people to air all of their views whether they be + or - towards the product and Disco3.co.uk is great for this. I don't think anyone is having a go at the site.

Well I'm on my second one, the first was an 54 that had 2 compressors replaced and a front diff, which I believe was unacceptable. My parents 05 has had 2 compressors done but has had no trouble since. My latest 06 has done almost 7K miles and has not had a single error.
My thoughts for what they are worth are as follows; the car did not get sufficient good quality testing which meant some components were suspect I also believe that LR did not give the dealerships sufficient support. Like anything if you get good dealer support then any problems you do have are smoothed out. Harwoods have looked after me well and have not tried to hide when problems have arisen, other dealers have not been so good.
Going forward I don't think any brand will be that good to retain due to the nature of electronics, but I do think that LR is no worse than others and is making progress. I know of cars from just about every brand that have had issues, one mate bought Lexus for its quality and ended up rejecting both. I know of Porsche, Ferrari, Merc, Audi, Jeep, Volvo and Toyota that have all been rejected from quite a small pool of friends - but I don't think it proves anything.
You have to speak as you find, I have owned 5 LRs and only one has caused problems, that is one more than it should be but at the same time I don't think it is the hanging offence that is perhaps being insinuated. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Yes, I do have the fridge. Big enough for a few ice creams and not much else.
Wouldn't have ordered it but its part of the SE spec. Dealer admits it should be there and will supply.

FULL HOUSE
I think all of the usual suspects who jump to Land Rovers defence whatever the subject have now been accounted for you attack it's members you attack the site. these people give the info freely and pay to access the GTR website and also volunteer their time with no other expectations than a thankyou. treat them with the respect they deserve, and it was more of a reference to the other guy who seems to be keeping a low profile at the moment. at least you stuck around.
one thing I have found is when you get a Landrover it comes with a community which is a good thing. right are we all happy now

I don't believe I showed a lack of respect to anyone personally unlike the comment about being a joy to live with which was clearly personal.
I thought we'd agreed to put a line under it?
