Mike, those prices seem a little on the high side. Especially given the quantity being ordered.
Can find them elsewhere on the net for less just for one.

Hi Guys
The Batteries I have put up for the group Buy is the ones recommended by the OPTIMA Rep not me or anyone
out with optima I asked him what spec should be used and he has given those prices quoated for the correct vehicles they are being fitted into ie Discovery 3.
Unfortunately I forgot to ask him what version of the optima he was recommending
If you want to know which one it is before buying I can find out for you bearing in mind this guy has worked for Optima for 20 years so I would hope that he knows the correct model for our cars by now
If you can find them cheaper like for like in the UK let me know where and who it is from and I will go back to the rep I will also need to know if the prices you find that are cheaper include vat as there seems to be a few sites that are quoating ex vat
cheers

It should be the d34 for the d3
Oh and after rechecking, your prices are about £10 less, so still good, but if that's the best difference he can make, he should look at the price he sells to distributors
If it's only £10 saving in something that expensive, it's probably not worth the time and hassle to do it. Cheapest I've seen so far (only on iPhone, so haven't done extensive research. ) is £209.64 Inc vat. Plus 7.95 postage.
They are a cracking battery though Bodsys Brake Bible

Also TFC can get them much cheaper too., I am with Bodsy here, is he really giving you a DEAL, like it must be heaven to your Rep to receive 20 Cash Buyers at £200 each

Just be careful with the exact model.
The one needed, as both Bodsy and DG say, is the D34.
There is another one, the D34/78 which is often also sold as the plain D34 and has terminals on the side which can get in the way in a RHD D3 install.
Regarding the price, I shouldn't comment as I'm neither in the group buy or in the UK, but I'm picking one up in a day or two for 200 euros without any discount...... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue
