how to optimise the space in the boot

I would like to kind of modify my disco into a small 4X4 camping-car/expedition vehicule, like you sometimes can see some defenders or toyotas. The idea would be to remove the central seat from the second row to replace it by the fridge and to install storages on both sides of the boot. there would be a small isle in between these two rows of storages so they could be used as facing seats with maybe also a removable table in between. I would integrate in these storages a small "kitchen" which would slide outside via the back door for cooking. With the table and the seats from the 2nd row folded, I would have a flat floor for a nice bed. Anybody see what I mean? In order to do this I need to optimise the space in the boot to have more height and breightness. Did anybody remove the plastic side moldings which are in the boot, does it improve the breightness? Can they go away? Did anybody remove the floor and the underfloor storage (for jack and removable tow bar)? Doas it increase the height a lot? Is it possible to do a lower flat floor when this storages are removed? Or is the space in the disco much smaller than in a def or a toy? Any ideas welcome. Thanks

ive removed the rear mouldings when tracing wires for my sub, if you dont have rear ac then there is a good 6 inches or more on each side, its been a while, but as i remember the only things behind it are wiring harnesses and just empty space. good luck!
