Try leaning forward 6 inches as you glance in the drivers side mirror - opens the field of view from the mirror considerably, also causes you to turn your head slightly more to see the mirror which allows your peripheral vision to see more out of the drives door windowDisco 4 Landmark

our new one has different mirrors and not so good as the old ones..can sympathise
weird, the D4, with its ginormous mirrors, is the first vehicle where I don't have to check my blind spot - it doesn't really have one!--
