Oztent Tag-A-Long confusion!
I've tried erecting a brand new tag a long tent this afternoon and I seem to be missing something. I have the two short poles and the adjustable long pole but no sleeves of any sort are on the tent to slide the long pole through.
Am I making a fundamental mistake in expecting there to be sleeves attached to the tag a long tent?
All the videos I've seen have the long pole slid through above the window but I have nowhere to slide anything.
I'm was beginning to think my tag a long was a factory second until I saw this which clearly shows no sewn in flaps to thread the pole thru: https://youtu.be/6vgLBZHruZI

If I have the right thing looks like there should be two long sleeve like loops to slide it though.

Yeah, there's no sign the loops have ever been there but it appears the design might have changed and totally confused me.
Does anybody know how this works without the long loops?Mods:

I've had an email from Oztent regarding the query about the missing sleeves and they sent me a link to a video that I'd already seen, showing the sleeves. I've responded with the link above showing a sleeveless system.

despite not having any sort of roof tent, I was intrigued by your post so had a look at the video you linked to.
my first thought - before watching the video - was there might be a section of double thickness canvas, meant to form a tube but accidentally stitched up in production ? .... but having tried to look closely at the vid, is it optical delusion or is there a bulge just above it ? as if there is another cross piece inside the tent ??
Not sure how it would keep the external pieces in place without loops or tubes for them but might be a pointer to your issue.

The tag-a-long has an external support system, nothing inside.
I'm waiting for a technical response from Oztent's "Confused customer dept" which apparently, will be within 24hours.
The set up instructions don't even mention using the support tubes. Mods:

has what look like clips onto the seam that then have bits the pole goes through.

Finally got to the bottom of this issue.
Sure enough, Oztent have changed the design and the tag-a-long tents no longer include the external sleeves to pass the long pole through. The later design doesn't have the sleeves, just two small loops at either side, which is kept taught by the tension of the long pole.
Oztent have updated the set-up instructions but not the official online video.
Nor have they updated the instructions that are sewn into the storage bag of the tag-a-long tents.
