Can't say from just the fault code you need to check them in live readings using suitable diagnostic kit Thumbs Up

I have a Faultmate MSV2, nothing shows in the live readings for the EGR valves ( N/A).

When I disconnect the lefthand EGR the faultcode changes to P0489.

Usually p0490 indicates sensor Thumbs Up a is faulty which is the rh valve but I always check them via live readings to confirm

Stupid diagnostic's, just tested the EGR valves with a test cable and a lab power supply. The R/H side one is plain stuck. No code for that, just a general one........

Changed the R/H EGR valve and everything is ok now. The old has a stuck actuator and the ball bearings were gone....
