P132B Fault Code On start up card drives fine.

Hello

I have done lot of searching and looked at lots of photographs past couple days.

A little background, the car lay idle for 4 weeks wife broke her arm whilst i was away working. Came back back i had a shed load of faults codes flashing but a good run out and a quick clear of the codes using my FCR sorted it, but code error 132B remained on startup. after a few good run outs the code cleared and didnt return. Again after a 3 week holiday came back the P132b code is now flashing on every startup.

The car however runs perfect, good pulling and acceleration. there is no smoke. the main turbo hose is months old. I can clear the fault whilst idling and it stays off. But does come back every start up.

I have had the car up, heatshield off but and i think i can see the ball end. so gave it a good WD40 scoosh but faults staying. The ball joint does seem to be pretty solid. so will need to work at further.

whats sort of problem can i epxect if i keep running it with the code on, like said its driving fine...

thanks for any feedback

The linkage will need working backwards and forwards until it moves very freely.

As above, actuator linkage has seized, through lack of use Thumbs Up

A good dose of WD40, and a bit of patience to work it back and forward, and all should be well Thumbs Up

thanks . Job done had to give an ever so gentle tap with a long shaft and a hammer, scary but when it went it moved really well. Got my WD in with a narrow pipe and just scooshing it on

score another one to an incredibly informative Forum Thumbs Up Thumbs Up . Probably save £££'s again Bow down Bow down

Gary,
Through the same wheel space you’d access the turbo bolts for.
Remove the thin ally covers in the wheel arch and you can then see through to the actuator.

Make a hook/loop of strong metal to get around it to be able to move it forward and back whilst giving it liberal applications of plusgas/wd40 Thumbs Up
