Has anyone had the link rod fitted yet for the above turbo fault...if so what was the outcome? My guess is that in alot of cases this will not fix all of your issues.

Have you fitted one? Did you have to remove the turbo to fit?

No i personally havent fitted one but one of my colleauges has, my initial thoughts are that this isnt going to be the answer to everyones problems. The turbo does need to be removed to fit the rod as it faces the engine and very difficult without. Early days yet but if your rod isnt siezed then this isnt going to fix it.

My rod is seized, and is giving me power problems, but if I've got to remove the turbo then I wouldn't just fit a new rod, i'd replace the whole turbo while I was there to elimate any future problems

I have had success with freeing up the rod in situ, & then lubricating it.
Has saved a few buying a turbo.
