Oil flush & Injector clean or not? Advice/experience please.

I'm due the 8 year service, (car has 92k) service 'B' according to the indy, which is oil, filter, fuel filter and pollen filter (and air filter I assume, although it wasn't mentioned). Genuine LR parts used but they've said this includes an injector clean and oil flush.

This makes me nervous; my brother just had an injector go after a Terraclean on his Toyota Avensis (£1500 bill in total), and my best mate had an injector go on his 12 month old Toyota Verso. We also had a major engine rebuild after an engine flush on a Mazda 6 we had that had FMSH. We were told the sludge from the flush ended up blocking various oilways leading to oil starvation, a knackered turbo and a cracked crank.

So, am I better leaving well alone, or should I get them to do it all, and hope nothing goes norks-up afterwards?

If anyone has had this done I'd be glad to hear your opinions before I pay £300 to kill my engine... Very Happy
