Thinking of buying a new Disco. I have a 57 plate (08 model) Disco HSE, full spec with 90k miles on the clock. In good condition.
2 questions I suppose, anyone any idea what you would expect to sell this for and is it better to sell private or part ex?

I can't answer that directly but when I sold my FL2 to get a D3, the difference in price between the part ex offer and what I got as a private sale was about £2,800. This was 12 months ago and the FL2 was on an 07 plate.

Thanks, suppose garage have to make a margin, no such thing as a free lunch. Part ex is the lazy option though.
Looking on the Land Rover website it seems to indicate that my 57 plate HSE would get £25k+?

Glass's guide (and there are others) will provide a valuation for a fee (around £4.00 I think) which is pretty accurate, you can enter in details such as spec level and mileage. I've used this and then cross referenced it against the biggest car selling website for a sense check.

Trade-in - excellent:
£18,800.00
#
Trade-in - average:
£17,800.00
#
Trade-in - below average:
£16,101.00
#
Dealer Retail price
£23,000.00
#
Private Sale price:
£20,500.00
Thanks, used the class site you recommended and it gave these. Not qualified to argue but it says 'dealer retail price' £23k but plenty on the Land Rover used car website at more than that for same age?

I think Justtourin has a point. I've just looked on autotrader for similar age vehicles within 30 miles of where I live and there isn't anything with your sort of mileage to compare it with. Also (I think) services like Glass's take their data from the agreed sales price rather than the advertised one.
Anyway, best of luck with it.

Maybe, but most owners outside this forum are going to think "who the is TFC, where's 90K worth of LR stamps in the book?"
