Found what looks like a small blanking plate on the drive ...about 1" square..hard plastic and slightly concave.....searched online but cant find it....been round the interior (its clean so I think its an interior part) and can't find anything obvious...anybody know where it goes please ? Unnecessary quote removed
Thanks for looking boys....remember to clear your search history before the wife goes on the computer
The bit is definitely off the Disco...it has a tiny LR logo stamp on the back alongside the part number..... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I to have found the same part with part number HYC50006 except I found it lying on the floor behind the drivers seat and have search all over and unable to locate where it came from. Thought it may have been a blanking plate from the centre consul that has came loose.

It's one digit too short to be an LR part number but it's certainly in the right format (three letters + numbers, except for newer LR + 6 numbers codes) 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Mystery solved the part is actually off the front pull strap on the 2nd row seats. Apparently it presses onto another part just to dress of the loop stitching on the pull strap. They must break off if the the pull strap is allowed to spring back.after being pulled. Noticed it was missing when moving the 2nd row seats forward to clear some gear out of the garage. The part number is correct but not a supplied part as it is part of complete seat base.

It was driving me mad as well, but I am missing one from the centre seat on the second row so looks like a visit to the breakers some time if they have a wrecked D3 with the seats still in side.
It might be best to super glue the parts together so they do not break off in future.
