Passenger 'buttons'

Hi, I didnt get a full look over a D3 tody as hoped, but I did manage to look 'inside' one in a car park.

I noticed there are buttons positioned on the rear doors and some next to the rear passenger too. Bascially what are they ?

There was a headphone socket so I guess linked to the audio, could someone explain what they offer, how they work. I.e what can people listen independantly too.

Many Thanks.

Right 1st time...

Audio output and controls so rear passengers have some control over the cars music centre and can listen with headphones at a volume that suits.

Kids have never used mine, so don't know if they work and are worth having. Only on HSE models or cars with premium audio upgrade.

The rear passengers can listen to a different source than the main stereo... between CD, Radio & AUX. They also have individual volume control and seek buttons. If they select what the main stereo is listening to, the seek buttons are thankfully disabled. Very Happy

They are a great feature. Kids can listen to what they like, from iPod, DVD player, radio or CD; but they cannot adjust anything that the grown-ups are listening to. Neat.

Unfortunatly the Jeremy Clarkson reviews state that the kids can use these buttons to control the stereo and rants on about how daft it is. It would be daft if anything he said was true. Thankfully he is wrong again.
