Passenger side sunroof drain tube replacement access problem

I should have said. If it is the elbow only, then a new one can be removed from the new drain tube and pushed onto the connector of the old tube. These drains are also available individually by the way. I’m planning for the future in case I need to do drivers side too, hence I purchased a double pack.
Is your headlining or A pillar wet, from what I gather that’s often a clue as to whether the problem is higher up (a blockage at the sunroof drain hole perhaps)?
Mine was just the footwell, and when I poked strummer line through the wing vent end I could see it appear under the glove box so knew there was a hole , most likely in the elbow.

Having replaced the elbow for the passenger side from sunroof drain I've noticed the area around the clip that holds the mat down on the floor in the footwell is damp so wondering if my fix has worked or if I have another problem. It's right in the middle of the footwell and dry in the area surrounding it which is strange.
I've checked that water runs out under the car from the front sunroof drain and it does, so wondering if the rear sunroof drain that runs down the middle pillar has a problem. I have a bit of water in the sill too, although I wonder if this is because it wasn't drained properly after my initial problem. Could a little water in the sill , still be causing the middle of the footwell to get damp?
I haven't seen anything on checking /repairing the rear sunroof drain on this forum but will give it a check. Just wanted to know if people have any experiences of this they could share?

Anyone any ideas/theories about why the passenger footwell should be damp immediately surrounding the mat clip? See my explanation above for a bot more info.

the clip is immediately in front of the stepdown from the rear gary so wonder if residue water that travelled into the back following your initial issue is still working its way forward under braking

the sponge on the step is a good 50mm thick so would take a long time to dry out naturally so dont depair just yet. not read up on rear drains so not sure how they exit

Just to follow up and round off on this one regarding my damp front passenger side carpet around the clip that holds the carpet down. This was following the replacement of the drain elbow.
The carpet has gradually dried out, helped by putting in a set of fabric carpets and removing the rubber mats which were not allowing it to 'air'. So it seems Marks' theory about the foam just at the back of it being soaked and causing this was right.
So the lesson learnt is you have to allow things to dry out properly and removing the rubber mats helps. Thanks again

Hi, I have today repaired the leaking sunroof tube. I have put the cjb back in and fired her up. Now I’m getting loads of fault codes, hand brake, special system, all doors open, etc and central locking isn’t working. Any ideas??

Not had this myself, but there was a report from someone else about getting a lot of faults coming up (do you mean with a diagnosis tool or via warning lamps on the dash?).
If you didn't have them before then my first thought would to check that everything has been plugged back into the CJB properly? It's a pain I know, but has to be the first port of call as you're getting lots of issues reported.

Not sure is this is the reference you need, but I ordered the following part on ebay LR EEH500100. It was a pack of two genuine LR , but might be a starting point for you. Good luck

How does that green connector come out?

Here's an extract from my post earlier on in this topic. Hopefully this will answer both your questions.

6. My CJB had an extra connector plugged in at the very bottom of the CJB. These bottom connectors have a small central pinch clip in the middle of the back edge (facing towards the bulkhead) which needs to be depressed for these to come out. These are different sizes so cannot be pressed into the wrong connection when putting it back together. My CJB had 3 connectors on the front (larger blue at the bottom). The references to pulling the release catches up and down on the video were a bit confusing. The top two connectors on the front release by pulling downwards towards the carpet and the bottom by pushing upwards towards the glove box (if it were there).
7. The trickiest part of this job, as everyone has stated, is the removal and replacement of the two rear connectors. Once the front and bottom connectors are off, release the bottom of the CJB by removing the 10mm nuts and let it pull forward off the two bolts. This allows you to get your hand up the back of the CJB. These two back connectors have release catches that push upwards (away from you as you lie on the floor). In the closed position they are located half way down the connector and stick out from the back. Note there is a third socket halfway down the length of the CJB at the back that is unused. Seems obvious but when you are putting it back together by feel alone it's helpful to remember this.
8. To get the CJB out I had to remove an additional connector with wires that ran immediately under the it and connected to a connector right at the point the footwell met the bulkhead. It has two, thickish, wires going into it (one red and one bluey purple with a brown stripe). These wires ran immediately under my CJB and stopped it from dropping down to remove it.
