Car all cleaned and polished ready to go back together tomorrow minus the steps, all the bolts are knackered.

You got me doing it now. Having a right mare with some of the Phillips screws rounding off. How did you undo them without damaging the plastic.

My drill is currently self isolating on a site a few miles from me.

Edit
On mine all the clips have come off with the trim. Is that an issue?

Very tidy. I took the body off mine recently, really went to town on the chassis and underside but did actually bother doing anything more than hosing off under the trim. Now you've made me look lazy. Thumbs Up

The little yellow bits have come out of the body work? I think and OP can confirm, ideally you want the yellow staying in the body.

I only had couple cause me problems, try to clean the screw head out best you can and then try to pry them apart without getting to brutal, then try again. The screws into the metal clips seem to be the hardest to get out.
I’ve only lost a few of the other clips, so long as they are not broken they should go back in, I did order a few spares.

I didn’t Order any screws they are just about reusable, can’t justify spending much at the moment, otherwise I’d have put new discs and pads on.

Does seem a lot for one screw tho.

Outrageous. Somebody will come along with a cheaper option for the trim clips and screws.

I hope anyway.

I bought some off eBay, the only thing was that they didn’t have the retained washer. So I bought identical stainless screws and separate washers of the correct size and used them. No more corrosion.

All put back together., do like the look without the steps. But as the wife is only five foot three I think she would like them put back on.

Started to take mine off. All 6 side step bolts broke in the side step Rolling Eyes .

Not sure on the remaining door trim. Are there any hidden screws or is it just difficult to pull off?

If the little bolts in the side steps Snapped that is far easier to remove, one side they did, the other side some snapped some undid some span round, it took ages to get that one off.
The drivers door doesn’t have screws, but it does have the black clips either end, if you can get one end off you should be able to slide the trim off the other clips. Hope that makes sense. Are you doing brakes as well?
