Passing some time.
Thought I would take some of the trims off the car today to see how it was underneath. Going to work round it and clean it up.
Lots of mud in the bottom of the wings but no rust, thank goodness.

Not yet, need to take steps off , but I’m going round the whole car while I’ve got the time.
Will update with a few more picks tomorrow. I was thinking if I get most of the trims off I can polish the car and not cover them in polish, so no white marks.

There wasn’t a speck of rust on the front edge of the sills, so here’s hoping.

definitely recommend you take the plastic sill covers and rear wheel well covers off and inspect/repair rust.
If you look at my posts you'll see my experience of doing so on my '05 D3 without side steps; very glad I did as it gave me an opportunity to clean up and protect for the long run.

Trims and steps off now, not too bad really. Rust seems to be where the brackets for steps were.
Can treat anything because I can’t go and buy what I need.
Anybody know what the plugs are for that are attached to each wheel arch liner, they are not connected to anything?
