| PDC fails to activate on engine start but .... |

So if I start the car by immediately starting the motor (as I get in, foot on brake and hit the start button) the PDC flashes and is de-activated for that journey... no warnings btw that it is not active! If you hit the PDC button it flashes a few times and goes back to dim (off) mode.
If I first hit the start button (with foot off brake i.e. initializing the system before engine start), and then hit the start button again with foot on the brake starting the motor, the PDC is fine and operational.
Only thing I can think of is a high current draw on engine start / low voltage on engine start mucking up the electronics as the systems get activated. Car not sluggish to start at all and battery seems to have a decent charge... but giving it a charge with the CTEK now and let's see.
Any other thoughts welcome!
