Performance Issues

Big Cry I don't know whats going on Twisted Evil Big Cry

Is the drivers seat connected to the engine management Question

When the drivers seat is adjusted toward the rear position ie furthest from the steering wheel, the performance is diabolical. However when the seat is adjusted to be closer to the steering wheel the performance improves, and when the seat is very close to the steering wheel the performance is astounding Shocked

Any Ideas Question

Strange isn't it.... Shocked

Maybe we could offer a top-tip for a cheap and easy re-map on D3s with electric seats....

when you move the seat back your middle leg is falling to the floor and subsequently hitting the brake pedal and I think as you move forward you raise the middle leg to make room for the outer two and fully forward you have to flip the big fella over you shoulder. solution is to stop wearing shorts and put some proper pants on Thumbs Up

I think it's more likely to be weight distribution. Centre of gravity moves back. Front end lifts a little and the streamlining is bu99ered

As Dunc's quote has been edited - did it say you've obviously got short legs, so the further back you sit, you cant push the pedal all the way down, therefore performance reduces Thumbs Up

Or, your eyesight is failing, and when you sit closer to the wheel, the speedo numbers look bigger, giving you the impression of better performance.

Maybe I'm missing a subtle gag here, but if you're being serious...

On my wife's car, her remote is mapped to the seat positions, mirror positions, and auto box memory, as it mine which is different. There's a very noticable difference in performance between her key and mine... so in that sense, the seat postion is indireclty linked to the performance... weak I know! Confused

Perhaps it's this, or some sort of related electrical gremlin?

now that would be smart, dependant upon key being used, you get personalised settings, including engine map.
