Cool... sounds very interesting.
If your dealer (I'm guessing LR but could be chipping dealer) has had one of their fleet chipped, does that mean (and this would be great) that it will not affect the LR warranty ?
Better MPG and more power would be very nice to have and also a little perverse I guess

My opinion of warranty is , if the dealer can not see it they carnt comment.
How the work is done to tune these ecu's is as follows , some of you may be intrested.
The ecu has to be removed from the car and it is located outofsite near the battery.
The ecu has to be opend up (Interference so is detectable)
Then the ecu has a probe put on it while it is held in a special jig.
The information is read from the processer and the external Eeporm
That info is modifyed for EVERYcar to match imobiliser data and such like.
Then the data is wrote back to the ecu
Now the car is tuned.
So if the dealer can not see the Interference to the ecu cover they will never know.
If they do see it then i would say yout warranty will be void.
This is the choice you all need to make b4 you have your car tuned

There is a pic here of a ecu in the frame/jig

TDV6 can not be tuned VIA OBD2 diagnostics port no matter where you read it. Unless they are using T4 .
or unless there is a NEW system that does do it .
Even the NEW vspire can not read and tune the siemens ecu via obd

Think again!

"Land Rover Discovery 3 / Range Rover Sport TDV6 Performance Tuning
The Autologic performance tune for the Land Rover TDV6 engine is now released. Available for both the Range Rover Sport and the Discovery 3, the power jumps from 191BHP to 240BHP, the torque increases by 94Nm @ 3600 rpm.
The tune is downloaded from the Autologic to the Engine Management system through the OBD2 diagnostic connector. That means that the ECU never needs to be removed from the car and does not need to be opened up for for the chip to be changed or reprogrammed.
We believe we are the only product in the world currently offering the TDV6 upgrade diagnostically.

Thanks Admin Email sent
re this thread sorry to bring it back from the dead, i was trying to let members know of the routine needed to tune these TDV6 engines.
if there is a OBD tool that does tune these ive never seen it unless like stated its a T4 test book or possibily a autologic.
I know for a fact that EVC that make most tools dont sell a tool for OBD tuning of the TDV6

Re warranty just make sure the reflash does not add a flash marker to the ecu if you have it done.
I would think from Autologics expertise there system will be the best , Or turbo chips

The above is incorrect...ourselves and Autologic are using our own communications platform to 'talk' to the engine management systems on TDV6.
And no we are not using T4 or any other type LR tool Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!
