Permanent warning sound but no indication of warning

Hi all,

been out this morning in -4 temp, and I started getting an intermittent warning sound, assumed it was warning me of the change in temp from -4 to-3 then to -2 . After a short time the warning tone got longer and longer until it was permanently on, but no dash indication of what the problem is ?
Is this just the cold weather or something else ?

Many thanks

Richard

Was this at stand still or low speed as could be ice on the parking sensors

I wondered similar about the parking sensors, you could easily try switching them off and see if that helps?

Can you confirm if the warning tone came from the instrument cluster or from the back of the D3.

Did it stay constant whatever the speed?

Did the indicator light on the PDC button flash or stay on or anything?

Did you have something sat on the passenger seat?

What sort of warning sound? Is it a quick "Bong" or series of "beeps" or a long "Beeeeeeeeeep" ?

Beeps are probably from the parking sensors - switch them off and the noise should stop!

Thanks all for your advice, the constant beeeeeeeeep is whilst moving at normal speed i.e 30mph, no passegers on board. I did'nt go out yesterday so will see how I get on today. The temp has risen an there in no ice her, so will see. If it continues again today I will disable the parking sensors and see if that helps. Will report back. Thanks again Smile
