Petrol vs. Diesel resale values
Hi - I'm thinking I might sell my Discovery but I am having some trouble deciding on how much to sell it for?!
The problem that I have is that it is a 2008 V8 Petrol (special order not an import). None of the 'guides' list a price for it and there are no comparable models on autrotrader etc.
I'm thinking that I'd apply some kind of adjustment based on the value of a diesel?
It's a 2008 HSE V8 Petrol, 44k miles. Silver with black interior (including piano black trim) - balance of Manufacturer warrenty (til march) + 4 new tyres, serviced ~ 2k miles ago - and I was thinking about £27,000 ?
Does that sound right or does anybody have any better ideas about pricing?
Cheers

At least for here, that seems high. I'd start with 25000 Euros and be willing to go to 23-24. JMO.17 Discovery 5 HSE Si6, Fuji White on brown | 07 LR3 SE 4.4 Java Black on Alpaca

Thanks dude - I am going close to my original estimates, at the moment I can't find much at all of a similar age/spec in the UK for less that £26k gbp and that with 70 odd thousand.Club V8

When I brought it I too was sold on petrol and V8s - I just love its sound when cruising on the motorway - just hums away!

I can only say that if it was a tdv6 at that spec, year and mileage it would appear a good price.
I have no idea how the V8 prices compare to a tdv6 [like-for-like] I'm afraid D3 incl. genuine glass windscreen, front bi-focal headlights, full width rear bumper, self levelling washer bottle contents and audible 'tick tock' indicator stalk

There's none around to compare it too. As Will Hay says ^^ it's a good price if it was a diesel. Just too dear for me... I'll take it at 50% off, if that's any help ____
