pets in cars/alarms

hi everyone,i bought my d3 last week and am really impressed except i have a problem with the alarm system,i have two dogs which will/may need to be left in the back of the car occasionally (shopping and stuff)but cant see anywhere in the manual about leaving the alarm partially armed like on my discovery 2 which had a keyhole on the drivers side door to allow this to happen if pets are left in the car, thanks

Be aware that this will still enable the deadlocks (superlocking) so any occupants (kids and sleeping grandparents) inside will not be able to get out.

Good point for family members, but it's good to also be deadlocked when you leave dogs in the car as it minimises the chances of 'people' pinching them, by breaking a window and opening the door...
