What phone kit do I need? |
|
Hi
I'm new to this forum, but you may remember me from LRO / LRE etc... for my Disco 300 tdi tuning exploits and more recently for my TD5 posts.
I have now just bought (today) a Disco 3 TDV6 HSE, 2005 with only 18,000 miles. I get it on Monday!!!
What I need to know is what do I need to get (inc part numbers if possible) to make the car see a blue tooth phone (HTC P4350 smartphone)? I really want to use the controls on the car if possible, including voice activation.
I currently have a parrot CK 3100 and hate it with a passion! Is the factory kit any better?
Thanks
Jon

Welcome Adiver
Factory kit can't be retro fitted
Dealer fit bluetooth kit offers voice control and integrates with steering wheel controls and IHU (basically it'll display Phone Mode on the IHU and mute whatever is playing) but is blooming expensive (around £450), not sure if it's compatible with your phone
Best bet is a Parrot or similar type kit, some of which can be integrated with the IHU to a certain extent too The End

I played around with the mechanical fuel pump sttings, but never done anything electrical myself. I had my TD5 reprogrammed by a guy called Alastiar Milne - the result was superb! I am looking to do the same to this car - pm me a cost please! and the figures for the upgrade if you would be so kind?
Thanks
Jon
