Photo request - behind rear right boot panel MY14 to 16

Would anyone have a photo of the mounting brackets behind the right boot panel from a MY14 to 16? Specifically where the TIM mounts?

Thanks.

I’m confused now as to where the Telephone Interface Module fits (connect to View). The parts diagram implies it’s behind the right boot trim but the wiring diagram wire lengths are far to short. Anyone know where it would fit?

Do you mean bluetooth?

It changed around MY12 to be built into head unit in front console unit. Rear quarter panel holds DAB, Amplifier and (if fitted) tv tuner and rear entertainment (RE might be under seats actually) Thumbs Up

Edit pic of bracket as I’ve just bought one for my GS upgrade:

Thanks, it’s not BT, it’s the Telephone Interface Module or Connect To View. It gives you the “in control apps” option.

The parts list shows it on a bracket next to or attached to the bracket you’ve fitted but the wiring diagram doesn’t really fit with that position.

And the bracket you’ve just fitted with RSE, DAB and KVM.

I would quite like incontrol apps. Are you guys trying to retro-fit it?

LR055235 only gives you the connection for a USB and Aux and is only a short cable. Its actually for the rear seat entertainment connection. I have the number of the cable from a Jag if you want it as LR don't do an overlay for the Connect to view.

Yes, but I'm struggling to identify where the module is fitted. I cant decide between in the boot, under the passenger seat next to the Camera module or in the dash behind the glove box.

I'm fitting to a RRS aswell so have extra issues to overcome, an L319 should be easier as the FCDIM can be replaced and have the software already pre-loaded.

Not much to update really, I’ve wired the TIM connector with nearly all the correct wire colours and size as per the LR4 wiring manual, the only incorrect wires being the CAN wires. These should be 0.35 CSA in Yellow/Blue and Yellow/White but I couldn’t find any in my stash or on line. So I’ve gone with 0.35 CSA in Blue and White. I really need to either find the correct place to fit it or I put it behind the dash or under the car passenger seat next to the Camera module. I really do think the part list is incorrect to show it in the boot, the wiring loom would need to be about 4 meters long which is much longer than the wiring diagram shows.

Yeah I’ve read Stuart’s thread, it’s wired a little different to the LR4 but I wouldn’t be put off by it.
