Photos wanted - front end upgrades / suggestions / options..
I have a standard 2005 front end and am thinking of swapping out the grill, or de-tango the lights, or doing a full D4 upgrade etc.
I would love some simple front end photos of the various options out there. If you’ve done an upgrade or modded the front end of a D3 could you post here a simple one-photo front end shot? Maybe with a brief description of what’s been changed? It would be great to see a few options side-by-side from different members...!
Many thanks in advance. Here’s mine as standard still.

'Tis true but unmodded, in my humble opinion, they are starting to look a little dated, especially with a light coloured body and black arches.Mods:

14 year old car...I'd rather save my money for essential maintenance.
You must be up for belts soon; I'd change the oil pump at that time etc...
I don't think that this "cosmetic" work adds much to the resale value - I may be wrong, but you could test the market before proceeding.

Cheers for the advice NJSS but I’m already on top of the maintenance and have cash aside for any nasties that arise. Belts done, gearbox refurbed, new battery, service etc all sorted since I bought it in Feb this year.
I’m not bothered about resale value at all - I’m not selling! Quite happy to consider this a hobby and not worried about a few quid spent on some cosmetic improvements. It’s a bit a fun. Got some new wheels on this week and done a LED upgrade on the rear lights. Just thinking that the front could do with a refresh.2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

That was my attempt at making mine look newer. When I bought it thought it looked a bit bland might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like it how it is, just saving for some bigger wheels

Cheers for the ideas so far, looking like some really smart options.
Dave1983 - I like the idea of yours, have you painted up the original D3 bumper then, body colour over the black plastic corners and arches? Was that DIY or a pro Job? And is that a PowerfulUK grill?2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

Why whats wrong with the lettering Ian ? The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
