After further digging it would appear that MS Cars have a website

http://www.ms-cars.co.uk

After a call to the garage I only managed to speak to a trainee mechanic from the MOT side of the garage. He explained that they were Freelander specialists, they regularly converted them to LHD to sell them on and sold many a week?

I don’t really know what to say regarding if it’s value for money or not, I have never wanted a Freelander since I don’t really like them myself, I assumed the price was a bargain if you were coming all this way to collect it.
The car was MOT tested in July and I don’t think its done many miles since so should be mechanically sound.
It certainly seemed to drive ok with no strange knocks or noises, it had signs of wear and tear inside….I have no idea if the amount was ok for a 2004 car or not because it’s a long time since I have been in a car that old to be honest. Further more I only really had 20 minutes with the car and would have liked much longer if I was buying it for myself, I spent the majority of that time making enquiries to confirm it was not stolen. I looked in the front of the car, the engine bay and a brief look underneath and nothing jumped out at me, its certainly not a stunner or in A1 condition!

The car has had two owners according to the V5, the first being Gates contract hire, Huntingdon and the last owner was Andrew Snook, 24 Brookmead, Hildenborough, Tonbridge Kent TN11 9DN, no idea how the car has found it’s way to Nottinghamshire. Sadly the Kent address has no phone number that I can find or I would have contacted them for a little more history.

Would I buy a car 100’s of miles from home that is just ‘ok’ to save less than £2000 before you even take into export costs, mmmmmmmmmmmm

Seems like a lot of hassle for not a lot of reward, but who am I to say, I must waste that much every year on vehicle depreciation and get nothing but a newer car in return!
