I was told the factory finish is about 20%, so is yours darker or lighter at 5%, I can't work out if it is % light let in or % of tint if you know what I mean.
I want mine to be enough to see pretty clearly through, but still good enough for the South of France. I saw a forum members at the weekend and he went for medium tint, so I am confused when different language is used. Thanks
it's percent light transmission, so 20% will be a lighter tint than 5% Peter, are you drunk? No, I'm just exhaused cos I've been up all night drinking...

Thanks for that, I was researching in google, seems even 20% is classed as dark, the car I saw at the weekend that I liked was medium, that was dark enough for me, so goodness knows what % that is, maybe 50%?
Some quote %, and some simply quote, Limo, Dark, Medium and light. I will make sure I have a good look before they start, I guess while wearing sunglasses everything will seem even darker in the summer, maybe have to take sunglasses off to reverse, anyone had problems like that?

Choppa60, I got 5% tint = limo.
Cost was 180 - well worth it in my opinion and a good job done.

I am thinking of getting medium between B and C pillars, limo behind C pillars. I asked for views (I know, bad pun) on another thread and got none. Does that mean I've gone doo-lally? I thought it could look good, and keep anyone cooler in the rear seats. d4 HSE

Hi Stick,
I have heard somewhere of this being done, and I can't see anything wrong with that approach. From the short time I've had mine done, from the outside it looks a little graded in any case since there is more light at the front of the car, and this comes through the first set of tinted windows more that the ones at the very rear.
had mine done in the deep dark winter, stopped the light glare at nite and adds a mean look to the car. mine was done on a cold and wet sat afternoon only took 2hrs and cost £120.
