Pinnion Seal Leak
Would it be better to replace the entire front diff than just the leaking seal?
What is involved with replacing either part??
Any thoughts much appreciated.

Has your D3 had the breather pipe modification, if not then pressure will build up and can cause seals to leak.
Did mine a few years ago, I had a small leak from pinion or drive shaft (can't remember which now) and the leak dried up never to return.

Hi Oswiperus
Thanks very much for the tip, bought new filter from Lookers Colchester for £30.00 and fitted yesterday.
Certainly difficult to get hold of the pipe and cut at an angle.
No the car hadn't been upgraded and the original filter cap was "black".
lets hope this fixes the leak as MOT due!!!
