Pirellis or Goodyears

Need to buy 4 new tyres and have been offered both the Pirelli Scorpion 255/60 18 112 XL and Wrangler 255/60 18 for 554 fitted. Currently running the Pirellis and pleased with the grip but only getting 15000 out of the front tyres.

Wondered how those who've had both found them?

I've used Wranglers for years and found them very very good on and off road. They are a harder compound than the Pirelli's and consequently the ride is slightly harder and does get noisy toward the end of their life - they wear in a castelated fashion.

If your happy with what you've been using, keep using them.

I'd second that Winger.

It may not be a like for like comparison but I've had them on the D2 and theyre solid as they come . A really good tyre. Hve used both Synchrones & michelin 4 X 4 's.

I currently have Zeros on the D3 but once theyre done I'll be seriously considering the Synchrones.

we run goodyears on the front of our TD5 commercial and Pirelli on the rear, do alot of motorway driving pulling a car transporter...... goodyear are by far better and last longer.

Just bought in an ex HA D3, always runs with Goodyears and done 190k plus, just had the rears changed this week to new Goodyear Wranglers

Goodyear Wranglers are the kiddies Mr. Green Mr. Green

Now wondering about the AT2s. A lot of positive opinion on here.

always got much higher milages out of the Goodyears, with decent enough grip. Pirellis softer, bit bouncier ride, faster wear, but great road grip.

I'd have to come down slightly more in favour of the goodyears.
