Play in brake callipers

Hi all. My wife just came back in the car after a trip to town, so I’d thought I would check for heat on the wheels from sticking callipers, all is good but both rear callipers have loads of movement on them. Is this normal or is something worn? Thanks in advance Lee

Get a mechanic to look at the brakes is best option here. Diagnosing the fault from a description isn't ideal, especially with such a safety related area.
As mentioned with previous post, this maybe worn guide pins, or loose carrier bolts.

Hi, the carriers are solid its the callipers they just move about. If I put my hand through the wheel they make an audible clunking. Wheel off at the weekend to check me thinks.

Will do, I thought the pads should hold them steady even if the pins are worn, but for both sides to be the same seems odd.
