My brain is turning to mush i think as i have had my clock spring off all week while i find the fault on my heated wheel and have now put it all back together but still no heat. I have just seen this on flee bay but is it heated ? I thought at 28 quid it may let me try the spring to see if it is that at fault.

Mark post the link, its hard to see the connections but the heated ones have a extra two pin socket top let of the normal connections.

Have you tried putting 12v directly to the steering wheel to see if it gets hot?
Also, run a separate earth see if it starts working.
Also, according to other threads, this: LR018556, is the heated clock spring.
If you need an unheated clock spring to mess about with or strip down for parts, I have one knocking about. Yours for gratis if you need it. Mods:

Thanks Ian but I also have one. Putting 12v to the wheel is difficult because of the size of the pins and the size of my numb hands The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Looks heated to me, as it has the extra slot for the connector from what I can see. Obviously no guarantees there are wires to the connector....
Thanks Mick 👍The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Defo heated, look at the two pins in the top socket. Bargain, make sure you centralise it when fitting, although it would be cheaper to buy a simple test light and check the old one.

I know, but just to add insult to injury when i put it back on I broke the grey locating pin from the bottom because I did not centralise it. I would not mind as much if it was the first time but it had been on and off all day while I tested things It would have been cheaper and easier to get a pair of gloves The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
