HO HO HO, That question is never EVER a quick one..........
Rinse off first, then snwo foam the car
leave for 5 mins
rinse
wash using the two bucket method with lampswool, not sponge,
clay bar the car,
wash again
pre clean/polish with DodoJuice Lime prime
Seal the car with two coats of JetSeal or similar
apply wax such as Purple Dodo Juice (or the light for lighter cars)
Polish off with clean polishing cloths
err simple.......
I might have got it wrong slightly, but you get the idea......

Polishing by hand using Menz, Farcela or similar will be time consuming and not always fruitful. depending on how bad they are.
On silver using a claybar to remove all the surface crud, them a cleaner polish which has filler properties topped off with a wax will give results you are after. Even missing out the claybar on silver and using the others will be
Drop me a PM if you need anything at a good price.
btw...Farecla is so 1970's and not updated with the times. messy stuff to work with and a lot of un-necessary work

not really had the time or the weather yet to properly polish my d3 as i only had it in october but my champagne gold 00 d2 millenium had a finish and feel like glass and looked mint, once a year i used to wd40 a panel at a time, wash and dry it,a really light rubbing of t-cut(yes i know what some will say)wash and dry it again then apply MUCOFF polish, its middle of the road stuff at £13 a bottle but only had to apply this a few times a year it takes me ages but its worth the effort

I have always used a Makita rotary polisher with either Menzerna or Meguiars polishes to correct the swirls and scratches and then I protect it with a sealant topped off with a nice wax. Takes a good day on something the size of a D3.

I,ve got to add my tuppence worth,
I use a polish called KLASSE ! its an accylic type i think ? applied in two parts firstly a cutter cleaner type and then a top coat, which is i believe acrylic ?
Applied to props on planes and cockpit covers on Gliders of all things this stuff lasts for ages and beads water like nothing i,ve seen ? but it does it for months not just 2-3 days of rain.
I,ll try and upload a picture of my red Audi,
Which incidently was worked on by a Guy from ZYMOL at a car show who said he could get better results.......
Embarasingly for him he had to admit defeat as every passer by that he stopped compared the bits i,d polished three weeks prior to the event more shiny.
Sorry for all the waffle but i dont know anyone else who uses this ? But you should try it ?
